President Obama has signed the bill to extend and expand the Hombuyer Tax Credit . The first-time homebuyer tax credit was to expire on December 1, 2009 but will now be extended to April 30, 2010. This time around, it will also include current homebuyers. The current homebuyers must have used the home sold or being sold as a principal residence consecutively for five of the previous eight years to be eligible.
